I was very impressed with this gum. As a person who has bern trying to quit niccotine for a while I love that you can highly control the amount consumed with these low 2 mg pieces. The price is highly justified as you get 96 pieces for 50 dollars. I am always concerned wiyh taste as I have had my share of bad tasting gums, yet was pleasently surprised how much these tasted like any ordinary mint gum and didnt have that stale pungeont flavor. An amazing quality gum for a reasonable price.
Ordered this box of nicotine gum for long-haul flights and we'll worth every penny. Not the cheapest, though, I can get 50 more pieces of generic Target gum for the same price. I've tried 4mg before but those were too strong, 2mg seems just right for me who gave up smoking more than a decade ago but still get cravings from time to time. Got the fruit flavor with a touch of mint which tastes fine, no bitterness at all. Recommended if you're not too price-sensitive but you can definitely get cheaper generics.
This nicotine cessation product did help me ward off my constant need to smoke or even vape. It even gives me a jolt of energy due to the nicotine intake. I ordered the mint flavor version and while it does taste like any other mint flavored gum, the flavor itself dissipated in about the fifth chew so flavor-wise, it's a bit underwhelming to say the least. To get the most out of this product, one cannot chew on this as they would a regular chewing gum product. You're supposed to tuck it between your cheeks and gums and when it starts to tingle, you're then supposed to chew on it for a bit until other parts of your mouth likewise starts to tingle. Repeat for about half an hour and you'll have pretty much extracted all nicotine out of the gum in a controlled fashion.Again, the flavor's gone in a matter of seconds so the chewing experience will be more of a chore or a routine than that of a typical gum chewing in my personal opinion. Moreover, I couldn't get over the constant "tingling" sensation in my throat which I found personally to be rather irritating. I did find myself to having to clear my throat and even cough a bit at times to relieve it which admittedly is a bit ironic. I probably wouldn't use this in a library or even in a shared office setting if that makes sense there. All in all, I'd give it 4 stars here but honestly, it feels more like a 3.5 to me.
The gum has a moderate minty flavor. It has a nice crisp outside, like the chicklet gumThe 2mg seems right, as it reacts with me the same as the brand name 2mg nicotine gumFlavor lasts the same amount of time as my brand name 2mg gum too.
I got the 2 mg for my husband. He's been a smoker for 32 years. I didn't realize he would need a stronger dose since he smokes within 30 minutes of waking up. He tried the mint flavor one anyway. He says it starts out tasting ok, but then he didn't really like it. It doesn't really help him quit. He needs more help and resources than a 2mg gum. I do see this helping as he slows down. I think you really need to want to quit for anything to help you. I would say this is a good value for those who aren't heavy smokers looking to quit. The quantity is a good amount for the price. If you factor in the cost of cigarettes these days, this is well worth the price. While I can't say it is effective at this stage for my heavy-smoking husband, I think they will come in handy one day.
This nicotine gum is a pretty standard product overall. It comes in a large amount in the box that will definitely help you quit smoking. I used product's like this to help me quit and it's been over a year now and i smoked for 44 years. It is really hard to quit, and seems next to impossible, but if you can get through one minute, one hour, one day at a time, you can do it too. These gums can help you stay strong and make it through the tough spots when you want a smoke bad.One thing that drove me crazy as i was quitting was having to open the individual foil packet to get a piece when i wanted to have a cigarette so bad. My solution was to open up a bunch and have them handy in a dish, so i could get a piece, quickly to stop the craving. Just make sure kids and pets can't get at them but they taste so bad they would probably spit it out. I think they are hard to open like that to prevent kids and pets from getting sick from them. I still use nicotine replacement products instead of smoking and they are way cheaper and less harmful than cigarettes and vapes.Like i said, there are alot in the box and are a expensive outlay at first, but, over time with the cost of smokes, it is cheaper and healthier.I ordered the fruit flavor and they are pretty nasty tasting at first, they have a really strong chemical taste, that doesn't last long and then the entire flavor dissipates quickly, but they knock down the craving and if i had known i would go for a different flavor. There is a handy tip sheet with useful suggestions and ideas to help you successfully quit. I wish you the best on quitting and good luck!
This package of Habitrol Nicotine Gum has 2 mg per piece. There are 96 pieces of gum in the package. I received the mint flavor. This level is for people who smoke their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up, so second step. This is a reduced dose, second step. The gum is sugar free.Follow the directions on the box for instructions. My box has a lengthy expiration date.Recommended.
Like most Habitrol it’s got a pretty good flavor like any other gum you’d buy at the store. It’s fairly soft to chew and doesn’t turn into a nasty chiclet like other nicotine gums.It says 2mg and I feel it’s effective enough to curb any cravings when you can’t get a vape or smoke in. If you’re quitting you’ll probably want to dose down slowly. Not bad for the price!
I really don’t know what flavor this is, it isn’t remotely close to the flavor on the box. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad flavor at all I just don’t know what flavor it is. I would like to have the tear off foil on the back replaced with the rectangular ones have. Other wise I have no complaints.
I got the Habitrol Nicotine Gum for my dad, who has been trying to quit smoking, hoping it would help curb his cravings. The gum comes in a large 96 -count box, and each piece has 2 mg of nicotine, which is meant for people who have their first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking up. The mint flavor tastes smooth and lasts a long time, which he said tastes much better than some other brands he has tried before. It is also sugar-free, which is a plus, and the gum keeps its flavor longer than most nicotine gums. The quality feels solid and it works well for gradual quitting. Overall, this is a super effective and affordable option for anyone serious about cutting down or quitting smoking, and my dad says he would definitely get it again.
Habitrol gum in 2 mg has been great at keeping me off the smokes. The mint flavor provides a nice blast of flavor for a few minutes and each piece lasts about 20 minutes overall. These are portable, easy to access (unlike some other brands), and these do a great job of crushing the urges to smoke. If you're initially stopping, you may want to consider the 4 mg version, but for me these 2 mg doses suffice. All in all, these get the job done, even if you don't want to quit these are a great nicotine alternative for when smoking isn't an option, love them and they're a great value compared to some of the larger brands.
My husband says this Habitrol gum is every bit as good, if not better, than the more expensive name-brand version he’s used for years. The mint flavor is smooth and surprisingly long-lasting. He explained that most nicotine gums lose their taste after a few minutes, but this one keeps its flavor going strong. It’s sugar-free, works effectively, and comes in a big 96-count box. Definitely recommend this brand for anyone looking to quit smoking or dipping without sacrificing quality or flavor!
My initial review got rejected but they won't tell me why. Guess we can't talk about what we are using it for...I'm trying this to see if it helps with Long C. Not sure that it's helping. So to make the b o t s happy...taste is ok but doesn't last long. It's more like old fashioned gum that gets "hard" over time...rather than staying soft and sticky like regular gum.If I find it's actually doing anything for LC I'll come back and update.
OK. So, nicotine has never been an issue around our place because we have no smokers. However, nicotine gum could have other uses for us. For instance, a recently reformed smoker is struggling while visiting. No problem. Here you go, Buddy. The package of 96 pieces of gum arrived in 3 days which was just as anticipated. It was plastic-sealed and in good condition.Unpacking revealed smallish, square pieces of tan-colored gum. They are only about 1/2" square and are on plastic-covered cards of 10 pieces each. This is the fruity version. (No wise cracks.) And, tastes somewhat as expected with the exception that it includes a minty breath mint flavor which overwhelms any fruit flavor. The gum has a sweet taste even though it is sugar-free. The only drawback I can envision would be if the 'chewer' really liked gum and received more nicotine than intended. YMMV.
This gum significantly helped with my nicotine cravings. Every time I felt like having a cigarette I would have a piece of gum instead. Despite the price feeling expensive, I've found my self saving money in the long run from not purchasing cigarettes.
I got these to kick the smokeless tobacco habit, and so far, it is working. The product tastes like peppermint gum. I guess my only complaint is that the individual packs are somewhat hard to open, but it may be by design, so it keeps you from chewing on them like candy
I had a family member try this Habitrol nicotine gum. It has a minty, unsweetened flavor. It tastes okay. It caused a cough in the throat but he said that could just be the effect on him. He said it did provide the nicotine he needed, and it does relieve the urge for a cigarette.
The gum delivers quick, steady relief from nicotine cravings without any harsh aftertaste. The mint flavor is smooth and refreshing, and the texture stays consistent even after several minutes of chewing.
So I only managed to catch a 2mg nicotine of these. I'd of liked the 4mg and if your a smoker you want something much higher. The average cigarette is something like 10-15 mg. I've read some can reach almost 30mg. If you start too high you'll make yourself sick. Look into your brand and shoot for the same milligram.Taste is great for these. I was chewing two at a time and had decent smelling breath. They would last as long as I sort of wanted them to. Couple tricks you try to get a little more bang out of a piece like using it kind of like chew for a little while. I've been told under your tongue is likely where the nicotine is absorbed.I wanted to see if a smoker would like these at all & to my surprise he said it curbed it just enough to get through an hour or so. Makes me feel like the quality is high. However the price is too.All things considered if you are trying to quit smoking use the different levels this brand offers to slowly drop your nicotine intake down. Maybe invest in a Flavored Air Device to help with the hand to mouth fidgeting you'll miss.If your just looking for something to help you out in places you can not smoke: match your brands nicotine level and use a piece when needed. Again, be careful. Theres a bit of a feeling out process.Best of luck to you!
Used these for a few weeks but didnt notice that it helped me at all,.so maybe not strong enough as.I have been a smoker for many years.
I really like this gum so far and the quality is excellent.. The 2mg Variety is a step-down from the 4mg, so it is less intense if you are not used to cessation gum yet.It has great flavor, chews well and does not get hard right. You really can chew it for a long time. The gum is sugar free and while the flavor does seem to drop in intensity rather quickly, but does not completely go away, rather it plateaus and then lasts. It comes in a large box of 96 , which really adds value and will last me a long time.Overall I'm really impressed with this gum, I highly recommend it.
Excellent quality and not too over powering since it is 2mg per tablet. If you are like me and stopped smoking but took up vaping, these really do help when you are in those situations where you can't smoke or vape.I used these on a 6 hour flight to Hawaii and just one 2mg took the edge off the entire flight.I did use one while we were waiting for our flight and then lightly chewed on a 2nd one during the flight.I found the best and longest lasting results were to lightly chew the tablet and then let it sit between my cheek and gum for a slow release of nicotine.Worked like a champ.I got the mint flavor and it tastes very good. Just like a pepermint chicklet.Regarding value, there are more expensive chews and there are much cheaper ones, but I don't trust the ones not manufactured in the US like these are.Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Habitrol chews and will carry a few of them around when I feel the urge to puff but not be able to.
This has been really great in providing a smooth nicotine buzz. I find that it is not as strong as other competitors but it is effective. Other packs do not have breaks that allow you to individually break pieces off, I generally only have 1 every day or two. This allows you to cut down on the size of it in your pocket. I think compared to other brands, this is very affordable and represents a high value for your money. The taste is enjoyable, and doesn't smell as strongly of tobacco as other gums. I didn't have any skin irritation, and there are a lot of pieces provided in this package. The individual size of the pieces is comparable to other brands.
